WHAT DOES PAC/SAL DO?

·  PAC/SAL provides Support - individually and collectively to parents, teachers and administrators.

·  PAC/SAL provides Education - through our forums, videos and literature.

·  PAC/SAL provides Direction - through our informational resources, we provide direction to inside and outside resources.

·  PAC/SAL provides Partnership - through our collaborative work within the school system and through our support efforts.

Some of our Activities include:

·  Providing information to parents regarding rights and responsibilities under Chapter 766 and PL 94-142

·  Informational/Educational Forums

·  Newsletter regarding our activities and other resources available in the community

·  Support for Teachers

·  Access to Additional Professional Development in the areas of Special Education

·  Support for Disability Awareness programs for the general school population

·  Resource Library for parents and teachers

·  Multi-Cultural Festival-Disability Awareness

·  Advisory to Special Education Department

·  Informational Resource for Parents

·  Informational Resource for School Advisory Councils and School Committee
